What we check ## Five questions an AI asks before it recommends your jobs 01 ### Can AI get in? We check whether your robots.txt and firewall let ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google and Bing read your careers pages. 02 ### Can AI read your jobs? Jobs inside an iframe, or loaded by JavaScript, look like an empty box to most AI crawlers. We compare what a person sees with what a crawler sees. 03 ### Are your jobs structured? We open your job postings and check Google's JobPosting format: pay, location, dates, and the fields Google for Jobs requires. 04 ### Do you answer candidate questions? Why recruiters should care ## Better candidates, not just more of them A candidate tells ChatGPT their whole work history, then asks: _“I'm looking for an HVAC role in Plano, Texas, with overtime and paid certifications.”_ If you're hiring for exactly that, you want to be the answer. AI can only recommend what it can read. Jobs in iframes, careers pages that block AI crawlers, and postings without pay or location drop out before the conversation starts. AI also checks what others say about you on Glassdoor, Indeed and LinkedIn, and rewards consistency. You can't game it, but you can make it easy for AI to get the facts right. GEO (generative engine optimization) is making sure AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini can find, read and recommend your content. For recruiting, that means your careers page and job postings. SEO gets you into Google results; GEO gets you into AI answers. Why does it matter for recruiting? Candidates are asking AI very specific questions, like “HVAC jobs in Plano that pay overtime and train you for EPA certification.” AI recommends employers whose pages answer those questions clearly. That brings you fewer spam applicants and more qualified people who fit the role. What is an iframe job board and why is it a problem? Many applicant tracking systems let you “embed” your job board on your site in a frame (iframe). People see the jobs, but most AI crawlers only see an empty frame, so as far as AI knows, you have no open jobs. What is JobPosting schema? A small block of hidden, structured data on each job page that labels the title, pay, location and dates. Google requires it for Google for Jobs, and it helps AI tools read your jobs correctly. Most ATSes can add it; some don't by default. Who should I send the report to? The report sorts every fix by who owns it: you (recruiting/HR), your web developer or IT team, or your ATS vendor.
