# Set up Indeed Apply in Classet

Classet Hiring Hub, the applicant tracking system included on Classet's Starter and Scale plans, connects to your own Indeed employer account. Jobs you publish in Classet post to Indeed under your company name, candidates apply with Indeed Apply, and Joy, Classet's AI recruiter, gets them on the phone the moment they apply. Setup takes about 10 minutes in Classet and your Indeed employer account.

## Before you start

- **A Classet Hiring Hub account.** Indeed Apply is part of Classet Hiring Hub on the Starter and Scale plans. You need a Classet login with access to Settings. New accounts start with 20 free interviews.
- **An Indeed employer account.** Use the account that should own your jobs. If you don't have one, you can create it from the Classet Integrations page. Sign in as a user who can manage the account's jobs and campaigns.
- **Your Indeed job source name.** If your company already posts on Indeed, find the job source name in the Indeed Employer Console and enter it in Classet exactly as Indeed has it, so new jobs join that source.
- **Billing on Indeed, only to sponsor.** Free listings need no payment method. Sponsored jobs are billed by Indeed to your own Indeed account. Classet does not buy job ads for you.
- **One Indeed account per location.** Multi-location companies connect each Classet location to the Indeed account that owns that location's jobs.
- **An interview script.** Joy uses it for every call. Set one up, with the must-haves you want checked, before you turn on AI phone screening.

## How to turn on Indeed Apply

1. **Open Settings, then Integrations.** Sign in at app.classet.ai, open Settings, and choose Integrations. The page has two Indeed sections: Indeed Apply (posts jobs and receives applications) and Sponsored Jobs (connects your Indeed employer account).
2. **Click Set up Indeed Apply.** Enter your company's job source name. Use the exact source name from your Indeed Employer Console if you already post on Indeed; otherwise enter your company name the way you want Indeed to show it.
3. **Click Connect Indeed Account and approve access.** Classet sends you to Indeed. Sign in to the employer account that owns your jobs, leave every permission checked, and click Allow.
4. **Confirm the connection.** Indeed Apply shows your source name, active jobs on Indeed, and Active. Sponsored Jobs shows the Indeed account email, the employer name, and Connected. If billing isn't set up on Indeed, a warning appears with a link to add it.
5. **Publish a job with AI phone screening on.** Click Post New Job, fill in the title, pay, location, and employment type, pick an interview script, and on the Launch step turn on Job Published and AI Phone Screening. The job goes to Indeed under your company name.
6. **Optional: sponsor the job on Indeed.** From the job's three-dot menu choose Sponsor on Indeed, set a one-time or monthly budget and an end date, review Indeed's estimate, and click Start Campaign. Indeed bills your own Indeed account.

## Permissions Classet requests from Indeed

| Permission | What it's for |
|---|---|
| View your email address | Shows which Indeed user is connected |
| View and manage your Indeed employer account | Publish, update, and close your jobs on Indeed and receive applications |
| View and manage your Indeed campaigns | Start, pause, and change sponsored job budgets from Classet |
| View your Indeed campaign reporting data | Bring sponsored job results into Classet (Indeed refreshes these in 24 to 48 hours) |
| View all of your employers | Pick the right employer when one login manages several companies or locations |
| Maintain the access you've given | Keep the connection working without signing in again for every job |

To disconnect, use Disable under Indeed Apply or the unlink button under Sponsored Jobs. To reconnect after an Indeed password change or a new account owner, disconnect and connect again as the Indeed user that owns your jobs.

## What to expect once it's on

- **Your job appears on Indeed under your company name.** New postings go through Indeed's review, so allow a few hours before a job is searchable. Edits you make in Classet are sent to Indeed.
- **Candidates apply with Indeed Apply.** They apply with their Indeed profile and resume, and the application lands on that job's board in Classet Hiring Hub as Applied.
- **Joy calls them the moment they apply.** A 5-minute phone interview with your questions and must-haves, nights and weekends included, with text and email follow-ups when nobody picks up.
- **You review summaries, not resumes.** Each candidate card gets the interview summary, recording, and transcript.

## Frequently asked questions

**What does the Classet Indeed integration do?**
It connects your Indeed employer account to Classet Hiring Hub. Jobs you publish in Classet post to Indeed under your company name, candidates apply with Indeed Apply, and their applications arrive in Classet, where Joy phone-screens them the moment they apply. You can also sponsor jobs on Indeed from Classet.

**Do I need an Indeed account?**
Yes, for Indeed Apply. You can create one from the Classet Integrations page. Every Classet job also has an interview link you can share anywhere.

**Does it cost extra to use Indeed with Classet?**
No. The Indeed connection is included with Classet Hiring Hub on Starter, from $249/month billed annually ($349 month-to-month). Free Indeed listings cost nothing. Sponsored budgets are billed by Indeed to your own Indeed account; Classet doesn't add a markup or buy ads for you.

**Will my jobs show my company name or Classet's?**
Your company name. Jobs post from your own Indeed account under your job source.

**I published a job in Classet but can't find it in my Indeed account. What happened?**
The job almost always reached Indeed, but Indeed hasn't linked the job source to your employer account yet. Ask Indeed support, from your Employer Console chat, to claim your source name (shown on the Classet Integrations page) for your account, and say the jobs come from Classet, your ATS. Every job already sent shows up once it's claimed.

**Why does Indeed say my job is flagged?**
A flagged job is connected but not visible to job seekers. Usually Indeed requires sponsorship for that job, which adding a budget clears. Some franchise brands have an exclusive Indeed arrangement that requires sponsorship for jobs from any other ATS.

**What happens to applicants once they apply on Indeed?**
They land on the job's board in Classet Hiring Hub, and Joy calls them the moment they apply. You get a summary, the recording, and the transcript. Candidates who don't answer get a text, an email, and a retry at a better hour.

**Can I sponsor jobs on Indeed from Classet?**
Yes, from the job's three-dot menu (Sponsor on Indeed). Sponsorship needs billing set up on your Indeed account.

**What happens when I unpublish or close a job in Classet?**
The job stops accepting new applications on Indeed. Applicants already in Classet stay on the board with their interviews.

**We have several locations. How should we connect Indeed?**
Connect each Classet location to the Indeed account that owns that location's jobs. Avoid connecting a personal Indeed login.

**I already use another ATS with Indeed. Can I use this?**
Indeed Apply through Classet is for teams that use Classet Hiring Hub as their ATS. If you run an ATS like Greenhouse or iCIMS, keep your Indeed setup there and use [ATS Sync](https://www.classet.ai/product/joy-sync-ats-plugin). Stop sponsored campaigns in your old system before you switch; they don't transfer.

**Who do I contact for help?**
For the Classet side, email success@classet.ai. For Indeed billing, job source claims, or campaign questions, contact Indeed Support or your Indeed Client Success representative.
